The Nigerian cargo specialist will continue to offer freight flights throughout West Africa using its fleet of two B737-400(F)s. A third B737-400 (msn 26081) is currently undergoing conversion at Jacksonville Cecil Field, FL with Aeronautical Engineers, Inc. (AEI).

(AEI) at Jacksonville Cecil Field, FL. Allied Air now has two of a planned fleet of four B737-400SF’s flying in support of its DHL and other customer contracts in West Africa. The third aircraft is another high gross weight B737-400 (msn 26081) formerly with Nok Air (DD, Bangkok Don Mueang), built in 1993 and is currently undergoing freighter modification in Jacksonville, Florida. Allied Air operates two B727-200(F)s, and two wet-leased MD-11(F)s on flights throughout West Africa as well as to China, Dubai and Europe.

Nigeria’s Allied Air to replace its 727-200Fs with 737-400Fs /nigerias-allied-air-to-replace-its-727-200fs-with-737-400fs/ Thu, 16 May 2013 09:49:02 +0000 http://localhost/alliedair/ Allied Air is set to replace its fleet of three ageing B727-200(F)s with three B737-400s, the first of which, (MSN 26081), is set to undergo conversion into a B737-400(F) freighter at Aeronautical Engineers, Inc. in Jacksonville Cecil Field, FL in June. The Nigerian cargo carrier already operates a B737-400(F), 5N-OTT (MSN 24529), on behalf of DHL Aviation (South Africa) (DHV, Lanseria). Allied Air has also been taking steps to expand its regional West African market presence of late with the recent introduction of a once weekly Ostend to Freetown via Lagos flight operated with one of its three MD-11(F)s wet-leased from World Airways (WO, Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson).
